Secret Decoder Ring

My 5 year, P, has decoded my words and is sharing his wealth of knowledge with his sisters...

My 3 year, A, old asked for something and I said, 'I just don't care!' I heard my 5 year old explain that when I say 'I just don't care - I really are a lot!!'

A message from my daddy

Yesterday we got some really good news and of course it turned into a 'cry fest' because I wanted to call my dad and tell him! Anyway, I got into the car and was thinking the song that was on would be a message from my dad and these lyrics blasted through the speakers...

The sky is clearing and the night

Has cried enough
The sun, he come, the world
to soften up
Rejoice, rejoice, we have no choice but
...To carry on
- Carry On - Crosby, Stills, Nash (and Young)

We got more good news today - just confirming our daddy is here with us even though we lost him at the beginning of this year!

A bit of the confusion I love

My (almost) two year old went poo in the bathroom today BUT missed the toilet.  I ran to get the clean-up supplies only to come back and find one of my dogs doing some cleaning up of his own.  My five year old walked into the bathroom to see what was going on and saw the dog cleaning up the poo mess and started dry heaving...And the fun continues!!!

Whoops - my message isn't so loud and clear!!

My 3 year old randomly said, 'If someone was running out if gas, we'd help them!'

My 5 year old replied, 'No - we only help animals!!'

P has no more training wheels...

This afternoon P told me to take his training wheels off his bike.  On his first try, he flew away without looking back....or falling!!

Some kiddie tales

My (almost) 2 year old was munching on some gum and I asked her where she got it...She replied, "ummmmm - surprise - in the garbage"

My niece handed my kids cups of strawberry millk that she just made for them and my 5 year old son told her they needed straws and that's why it's called STRAWberry millk!!

My 5 year old saw a daddy-long leg this evening and asked, 'mommy, daddy-long legs are nice spiders, right? Well, are the mommy ones mean??'
