13 REASONS MY DOGS ARE EASIER THAN MY KIDS
1. They poop/pee in the backyard - NO DIAPERS
2. Their feet don't grow every couple months requiring new shoes
3. Same goes for clothes
4. They chew the same bone for weeks and never ask for a different one
5. Put dry food and fresh water out every morning and they eat when they want
6. They never complain about having the same food day in and day out
7. Can drop them off for a bath and nail trim
8. The bath and nail trim only need to happen every 4-6 weeks
9. They sit contently next to the computer for hours while I work
10. You can watch whatever you want on tv
11. You can leave them alone when you leave the house
12. When you go for a ride in the car, they just jump in (no carseats to deal with)
13. They are happy with any toy you buy them

Through a child's eyes
P was looking out the back window the other day and said, "Mommy....Daddy OH NO! Santa's reindeer got away! We have to rescue them!" (I guess animal rescue is hereditary!)
We looked outside to see three deer running past the house....to fast for the camera phone. We didn't catch all the (rein)deer but we did catch a picture of one of them!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday two of the pups got groomed and when I brought them home, P stopped in his tracks and asked, "Why did they put bibs on our dogs??"

(Nobody better comment about how old my Mattie is looking under the chin!!!!!)

Naughty words
We had A's 2nd B-Day party at Gymboree this past weekend! We had lots of fun and took tons of pictures. Anyway, at the end of the party, I started to video my little princess (LOL) and this was the thanks we got for a rockin' fun 2nd birthday!! At least I got an apology...if you listen carefully she does say, 'sorry DUMB ASS!'

Video of A (Playdough up the nose)
Okay, so I have heard over the years that children (especially 2 year olds) shove things in their noses HOWEVER, I have never experienced this...until now!! I was giving A a bath the other morning and noticed some blue dripping from her nostril. Despite my prayers that it was bath gel, I looked closer only to realize it was playdough!! Yes playdough! I seemed to get it all out but one can never be too sure so just to be safe, we went to the doctor the next morning. He told A, 'no more playdough in your nose.' When I asked her what the doctor told her, she would repeat what he said. I decided to take a video of her and by the way, right when I stopped taping, she added, 'him not tell me what to do!!'
I have not learned to leave well enough alone yet so I tried to get a better video of her saying 'no more playdough in my nose' HOWEVER, I got more then I bargained for....MUCH MORE!! Bad words, an off camera sibling spat, more bad words, the bird babbling in the background and even an apology!! I tried to upload the second video several times but I think the file is too large! DARN!

Brrrrrrr...
The coldest day in the last 13 years and my dog has DIARRHEA!! Can you say FREEZING from standing outside forever???!!! I was so cold when I came in that I called my mom and told her my legs and face were so red and burning. She told me to take a warm shower because frostbite/nip can start within 20 minutes. I tried to tell her that a warm shower is a luxury that is hard to come by in this house and I didn't even manage one yesterday!!
Anyway, I took a shower and while I was in there, I got so exhausted! My mom called back to see how I was feeling and I told her fine but I was very tired and glad that being tired had nothing to do with frostbite/nip otherwise I would be worried. She said AND I QUOTE, "yeah, that has nothing to do with frostbite BUT I don't know that much about hypothermia!!"

The sneak...
We had a (very small due to the weather) family get together for Addie's 2nd birthday yesterday.
Let me set the scene here before you all think I am nasty. The party was WINDING DOWN and the food was going to be thrown away. Mattie came around the corner (note how she cases the joint) and jumps up and grabs a sandwich.
I couldn't help but take a video of her devious ways. Those of you that know Mattie know she doesn't even jump up on you when you come in the house. She acts like a little perfect pup but when you aren't looking.....
I am going to try and get her on video when she gets a plate off the table and carefully carries it down to the floor. Sneaky sneaky sneaky!!

Spinning Wheels...
We all know spinning your wheels is to waste time doing something that is not effective. Most of us deal with this on a daily basis...for example, picking up the kids toys while they are still awake or talking to our husbands while they are watching sports.
Anyway, I literally watched the wheels of the minivan spin and spin and spin today while the vehicle did not move one inch!!
Keep in mind while you read this post that this was the first day in 13 days that I planned on being home with the kids. R left early to catch the train and the kids and I got off to a late start. I turned on my cell phone around 10 only to get a text from my lovely husband that the minivan was stuck at the train station and we had to call the roadside assistance of the insurance when he got home.
Super Suzie to the rescue....My sister called about the same time and said she was going to stop by with TaTa. I read her the text message and she thought we would be able to get the vehicle unstuck ourselves. Long story short (way too late) we couldn't get the darn thing to move so we had to have someone come and help!!
I took some pictures just for fun while Super Suzie sat in the minivan to guide the wheels in the right direction.
R has been joking that we had the Mothership up for sale referring to the upcoming baptism and the role of the G-dmother. While we already asked Sue and Carolyn, R said Super Suzie earned her seat today...so I guess it is no longer up for sale.

Celebrate good times....
FINALLY, my 13 days of dog sitting are over!! Yes, I committed to dog sitting during the holidays WITH A BRAND NEW BABY, JUST AFTER MOVING!! However, you all know that I have a soft spot for dogs (and some extra cash) and these dogs in particular are so sweet (and I get paid really well) and they are my remaining clients from my 'dog walking business' days! When I went back to corporate america, I decided to keep them because of the relationship I had with their mom and dad and when I left corporate america to get knocked up every year, I had already fallen in love with the dogs!! ANYWAY....OVER OVER OVER!!
Back to our usual calm and scheduled days...KIDDING but we are happy we will be home at a decent time now and I have two less living things depending on me! Back to just P, A, Baby Beau, Mattie,Chino, Bernie, Boss and the husband (because he soooo depends on me too)!
Duty is calling downstairs....

A night on the town (hardly)
We went to Fuddruckers for some fine dining this evening. P and A went to play
some games with Daddy after we finished eating which left (sleeping) Beau and I at
the table.
When in the heck did eating at an establishment a step above
McDonalds turn into an experience as relaxing as a spa vacation? The 3 of them
played for 40 minutes while I sat and did nothing for the first time in 3 years
(except cuddle Beau)!!!
When they came back to the table, P had to go potty. He was running behind me a
couple paces and there was a jingle coming from his pocket. I asked him what he
had in his pants and he said (nice and loud) 'MY BALLS!!!'. (Referring to the
little toy balls he had in his pocket by the way BUT of course I was thinking something else and couldn't stop laughing)!!

Ultrasound??!!??
Today I had an ultrasound FOR MY GALLBLADDER (just to clear the air) and I had to bring all 3 kids. While Baby Beau (we went back to the original spelling since that is the first four letter in beautiful) never cries, she decided the way into the hospital was a great time to cry very hard!! P and A were following me and on their best behavior!!
While we don't have a lot of kids by any means, people like to look at us when we are out (I can't wait until I have the 4th). Anyway, the waiting room at the hospital was packed. I walked up to the counter to register and I said I was here for an ultrasound....I swear time started going really slowly and everyone looked at me...okay fine just half the waiting room but they looked...looked like HOLY SHIT, THAT CHIC IS HAVING ANOTHER ONE ALREADY????? Anyway, I cleared the air proclaiming it was for a gallbladder...not a uterus...ALTHOUGH I have to say, (call me crazy) I wouldn't mind!!
While I was sitting in the waiting room, a lady in her 60's asked how old the kids were and when I told her she said, "I could NEVER have kids like that. I only had 2 and they were 4.5 years apart. It takes a special person to have kids like that..."
And here I want 2 more....and so I ask....special person or crazy person????

Babies don't cry...
First of all, while we were moving with our baby only being 2 weeks old, I ran across a book I got at discharge after having the baby. It said that the first few weeks after bringing a new baby home, you should keep your life as simple as possible!! That made me laugh so hard considering I was sitting in the middle of our new closet with stuff all around me IN BOXES!! Considering we managed to live through that smiles on our faces confirms that we can handle a couple more kids (although my donor has openly agreed to one more, he has said nothing about two more...which is good thing, right?)!!
Today I asked P to see if the baby was still asleep in the pack n' play. He told me she was awake but then told me that she was so quiet...and then said, 'babies don't cry.' I had to explain to him that yes babies do cry...just not ours!! Here I told him for 9 months how much babies cry....She is such a good baby!! Honestly....so calm, peaceful, sweet and happy and sleeping through the night (a hell of a lot more than I can say for myself)!!
I have to go clean but just wanted to blog for a little bit!!

Here I am......
We have been so hectic with the new baby, moving, the holidays, R's B-Day, A's 2nd B-Day, oh yeah and unpacking....needless to say, I have been unable to escape to the office to blog and the laptop is not working AGAIN!! My friend sent me a facebook message and asked me if I was in the witness protection program!! She made me laugh and also made me think.....
I am going to be blogging later today or tomorrow....oh fine...sometime this weekend. I actually miss writing my blogs and so much has happened that I wanted to blog about and I have to say I have no idea what any of the things were...hence the reason I like to blog. It makes me notice the little things during the day when I am looking for material to write about and once I write the things that happened, it always me to remember things I would have forgotten!! I also love to go back and read things and make myself smile!! This has turned into more of a diary and a reason to have 3 minutes to myself a day!!
Okay, I am supposed to be Mapquesting for my parents (the only reason I have not been harassed yet) BUT I heard R ask my parents if I went to the bathroom....party is over....Maybe the witness protection program doesn't sound so bad....JUST KIDDING!!
