P and Boss

Boss has been talking so much!!! The other day P pushed me (annoying....yes indeed) and Boss said WHAAAAAT!!!

When I get mad at the kids, I tend to use their full names. Boss said our last name loud and clear yesterday.

This last story I am a little ashmed to post but hell it happened!! Sometimes we say things and don't mean them literally!! When the dogs annoy me barking, I will say, "I am going to kill you!" Yep, you know right where this is headed. I was on the phone with Nonie (making her witness) and Boss said in his loud voice, "KILL YOU!" Sounds much more violent coming from him! Yikes!

Friends...didn't post this one either!!

Forgive the 'deep' post.....

Today I met some old but very good friends! I came home and was thinking how nice it was to see them and hang out with our kids. We all have them....the friends you don't see and don't talk to half as much as you should. You know the friends from years ago that you manage to pick up with right where you left off? Anyway, I was thinking how funny it is that I talk to some 'friends' all the time yet they don't manage to be as good as 'friends' as the ones that you don't talk to as much as you should!

Packing up my parent's house, I have come across so many pictures of people from the past and it makes me very happy and blessed to have the ones I have choose to keep close and in touch.

The promise of flowers...

I bribe my kids from time to time. I know it's not right. I know the experts frown upon it but I do it, it works, and it makes me feel really good and really in control!!

Well, P has caught on to the bribing side of things around here and decided to try it out on busy mommy today...and it worked. Aren't I too smart for these child-like antics?

I was rushing around the kitchen this morning doing my usual spin cleaning. Spin cleaning by the way is when I clean up one thing, turn around clean something else, turn again and clean the same thing I just cleaned.

Anyway, P wanted me to open something and I kept putting him off. Then in a sweet little voice, he said, 'Mommy, if you do it, I will buy you flowers. I can go with Daddy to get them!'

Wow, if that didn't stop me in my tracks and turn me to putty!!!

Fast forward to now.....P had a time-out for pushing his sister and when he was done with it he said, 'I am not going to buy your flowers anymore!'

Thursday 13

13 song lyrics that I heard in the car on the way to Florida...and one on the way home! Also details on some about what was going on when I heard the lyrics. By the way, I wrote this on the top of a pancake container from McD's and saved them for my TT!! My other plan was to write the title and artist but I changed my mind! This will be the last vacation post....Promise!! Well, maybe some more pics....

1. Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road - reminding me of the many exits we got off to get a bite to eat
2. It's time for me to fly - 3 kids, 3 adults, 24 hours....self-explanatory (although it was enjoyable and without incident)
3. I've got too much time on my hands - again, self-explanatory
4. Standing on top of the world - while driving through the mountains
5. Hold tight we are in for some nasty weather - when it began to rain
6. You can't always get what you want - kids complaining and wanting me to hand them things
7. I love it when we are cruising together
8. Life is a highway, I want to drive it all night long - very late looking for a place to stay
9. I can feel the magic floating in the air - we were getting closer and the excitement was brewing for everyone
10. May sunshine and happiness surround you when you are far from home
11. Any way the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me - the ocean, wind, excitement, love....who cares if the wind is blowing!
12. We are family, I got all my sisters with me - okay one sister but hey
13. Should I stay or should I go now?

Getting closer...

SS wanted to try and get to Purdue so we could spend the night with TaTa on the way home. Where there is a will, there is a way...she drove 20 hours yesterday and got us there by 11:30 last night. Yes, 20 hours with the kiddies. They rocked!! Good thing we are always on the go at home.

We stayed at a nice hotel, slept late this morning, went to lunch, toured TaTa's house and got back on the road around 2 pm.

As chance would have it, Sistah Shillary and family were only 4 miles ahead of us on 65 when we got back on the road. We caught up and had a little photo session. Thanks to our iPhones, we were able to share our photos and post them on FB! Did I mention I LOVE this phone?

On the road...

We went to Disney yesterday. The experience was magical..after I got over the sun, heat and rude people.

When we got to the park, we found a nice and 'private place' to nurse the baby and feed the kiddies. Two seconds after I set up shop and busted out the boob, the employees started roping off the area. Low and behold, we were sitting right where the parade was getting ready to start. The good news is, we had front row seats to watch the parade.

We also saw fireworks, went on lots of rides and got to meet Mickey and Minnie. We didn't make it back around to Pirates of the Carribean which happens to be my favorite ride. We are going to try and head back for a few days toward the end of the year. Disney in 9 hours is just not possible.

This is my first trip to Disney as a parent and you truly see the magic of it all through their eyes. I also can't help but think of the many trips to Disney with my parents. When R took the kids on the Speedway, I had visions of being little and going on with my dad...except he always wanted to drive!! I got 'happy' tears in my eyes a few times.

My iPhone was running out of batteries at the park so I only got some pics on the phone. I will have to post pics once I download them from my camera when we get home.

Brotherly love

Or not

Almost a cute pic

Screaming at the princess in the parade

Watching the parade - waving to Mickey

This pic makes me laugh!!! Note R being the only one smiling

Stay tuned for more pics...
