Well, today we had a newer edition of the old favorite at our house!! Forget Harold and the Purple Crayon, today it was A and the Green Crayon.
I was cleaning and not entirely paying attention to A and P who were 'supposed' to be watching a movie in my room. Baby Beau was fast asleep in her crib. Anyway, A walked up to me and said, 'Mommy, I drew on your new bed!' I thought I was hearing things but A speaks so clearly that 'thinking' I heard her say something is the same thing as 'thinking' you smell dog poo...no such thing as thinking. Anyway, I peek in my room and low and behold, she drew on my new bed.
I took the crayons away for about five minutes. The entire time she cried. I gave them back with strict instructions to only use them on paper. I went to the bathroom, came back and there were crayon marks all over my bedroom tv!! I took the crayons away again and for no other reason than the fact that I was trying to clean, I gave them back again.
30 minutes later, P and I were struggling through a time out and I looked up and the pack n' play had green crayon all over the netting. I bought that brand new for Beau knowing we would have one more. Aggghhhhhh!!
Needless to say they are hidden now!!!!

I asked for it...
I was feeling on the 'annoyed' side of motherhood this evening. While picking up toys and other miscellaneous things for the millionth time, I complained that the living room was a mess, the kitchen was a mess, and the entire house was a mess. My little love A informed me, 'your car is a mess too!!'
Thaaaaanks for the reality check babe!!

13 things I loved about being in the northwoods last week!!
Since the spring of 1975, we have been heading north to Uncle Bill's paradise in the northwoods. Minus a few years (getting married, prego, A's stitches) I didn't make it, we have been going every year. With every crunch of the gravel road under the car, you are more and more eager to get to the end of the quarter mile long road and see the houses and the lake. Every tree along the road wraps around you and hugs you, reminding you of all the love a family has to offer. You can feel the energy of every person that ever lived and loved Minocqua!! The only word that comes to mind is magical....
Uncle Bill and his generosity
The ones that bring it all together
Exploring
The many branches of the family tree
Time to reflect on the little things
The family that keeps groooowing
P celebrating his 4th b-day at the greatest place on earth
Cousin time
Mommy time
Fun (character building) games...I swear he loved it!! (See video below)
Being silly
Spending time with the two people that made us the fun loving people we are today
Boat rides

I am back...
I have been slacking with my blog. S-L-A-C-K-I-N-G BIG TIME...for no other reason than Facebook! The kids are all great - I am gearing up for number four!! Nope- not prego and not trying but look forward to rounding up the kiddie number!!
We had a fabulous time in Minocqua. We wish Daddy was there with us but we had a blast!!
P and A both have strep! What happened to lethargic kids with fevers? They are all over the place!! I would not have even thought to bring them in except A kept complaining of a sore throat and then P got a fever last night and woke up with a sore throat of his own!! The kids and I loaded up and headed to the doctor - 8 minutes after their culture, the nurse came back with the news!!

Minocqua
We are up north at my uncle's cabin having a fabulous time with family.
Yesterday P and I were tubing and my life jacket was way too big and pushing up almost over my head. I wanted to be pulled back in the boat but as most of my blog readers know, I was getting no sympathy from my whining. I decided to pull out the 'kid crying' wild card and screamed up to my family on the boat. Well P wasn't having it, he yelled, 'I am not crying....my mom is!!'. Way to throw his mommy under the bus.
Pictures to come!!
