False Advertising

Talk about false advertising...I thought Hellman's was supposed to bring out the best!!!

A story only a dog lover will enjoy..

Let me begin this story by explaining that we have a rescue dog named Bernie that is a rat terrier/jack russel mix. He likes to burrow under the covers at night and if you 'stretch' into his space he growls and nips...nips, not bites!!

Anyway, last night as I was putting A to bed, she asked me to move Bernie. He happened to be sleeping in a little sweet ball of pup at the foot of her bed and I told her I would but she was mean for wanting to disturb him. She looked at me and said, 'I am not mean - I just don't like to be bit in the middle of the night!!' Well said my little honey...I moved Bernie!!

Message from above

Hubby and I received some great news yesterday - good news does not always equal pregnancy so let me be the first to clear the air....I am not pregnant! Anyway, we received some great news that we so desperately wanted to share with my dad that passed last year. I walked outside and the sky looked amazing...a message from above that dad is still with us!

Popsie / Breaking teeth

A (my almost 4 year old) was looking out the kitchen window and staring at the moon last night. She looked at me and said, 'mommy, if I look hard enough, I think I can see Popsie in the moon. You know how the moon follows us everywhere we go???? Well, I think Popsie follows Nonie everywhere she goes. You know why, because he loves her soooooo much!!'

So deep and so sweet for an almost 4 year old!!

On a lighter note, A went to the dentist yesterday to have some cavities filled. Last night when she was going to bed she asked me if she could break her teeth. When I asked 'why' she said, 'I love the dentist and want to go back and get a toy!'

Going for a ride

This evening around 7pm, I decided to take the kids for a 'drive' to get them to fall asleep.  After spinning around town a few times, P asked me, 'mommy, do you know where you are going?' I told him that 'yes I did' and he asked, 'then why are you driving in circles!?!'  Needless to say, we are home now and they are still not asleep!

My night - a must read

2am my old Shepard wakes me up because she has to pee. I am standing outside with the porch light shining when suddenly, the light goes off!!! Walk inside to find my two year old standing on a chair laughing!! Really Lia?? Then my 5 year old woke up and asked me to heat him up Chinese food....NOOOO! It's TWO in the morning!! Then here comes our pit mix rounding the corner with low grumbles wanting to go out....welcome to my life!! Love it!!

Shark

I took a two minute shower this morning....I am entitled to that, right? WRONG!! I step out of the shower to my youngest telling me she is very wet and I need to change her clothes. I need to teach her the word 'soaking wet' because she was drenched. I asked her how she got so wet and she said because of the water cooler.
.......let's just say 5 gallons of fresh spring water is a lot of frickin' water!!
The other two 'culprits' came around the corner and I asked them so calmly (NOT) what in the heck happened!!
The answer to my question...
'we were playing shark and needed water!!'
Don't ask unless you want to hear the answer.
