In our hearts

Over the past year, I have explained my dad's passing to my children in many ways but mostly we talk about how Popsie might be gone from our everyday lives but he is always in hearts and alive in our memories of him. 

Several weeks ago, Nonie was over and we were zipping A's (my 4 year old) jacket to go play outside and she started crying and unzipping it.  We thought it was too close to her chin but through her tears, she explained otherwise.  She told us that if we zip up her jacket too high and make it too tight then we will hurt Popsie and he will not be in her heart anymore.

Next time you see A and notice her jacket is not zipped all the way, you will know why...
