P and A both love going to the bank because they gets suckers. The tellers are always very generous with how many they give us....expect for one teller. Her lips are perched, hair bobbed, and she wears dark framed glasses close to the tip of her nose. She is just the type to be stingy with the goods!!
Today we went to the drive-through to deposit a check. Being the end of the month and the lunch hour, the line was long so I asked for the suckers (note the plural here) right away so she could send them back with the receipt.
Imagine my surprise when one lonely sucker peered through the clear plastic container. It screamed MAJOR FIGHT between P and A or P and I - I really wanted that yellow sucker. Since it was the stingy sucker lady and I was in that kind of mood, I decided despite the line behind me, I was going to get another sucker for the kids and for me too!! I explained to her that we had three kids in the car (I was including myself) and only one sucker in the plastic container. She took her time and sent back two more suckers but one was broken. I left the broken one in the container and sent it back to her. She must have thought that was the end of it....NOPE!!
We went into the bank and got three suckers out of the basket by the front door. Then when I was headed out the door, I decided to explain myself to the personal banker that was sitting closest to the basket. She couldn't believe that the lady was so stingy but also had no problem describing her to me. Apparently she has a reputation with her peers at work as well!!
The personal banker said she was going over there right away to talk to her and asked for my last name. I told her that was not necessary and my last name would remain unknown. We just wanted the suckers. We left but not before I told her that this was the most ridiculous complaint I have ever made...and I have made some complaints in my day.
Anyway, my point is, I have turned into a total mom...Dragging my kids into the bank because we didn't get enough suckers!! As if I don't have enough on my plate!!
As P and A likes to say, Oh Geez!!

Who ate the pickles from the pickle jar??
This is a warning to all you blog readers that come to our house....DON'T EAT THE PICKLES!!
I was making hot dogs for lunch the other day and had the buns, mustard, cut tomatoes and the open pickle jar on the counter.
When it was time to put the hot dogs on the bun with all the accessories, I reached in the pickle jar and found the insides eaten from the first pickle I pulled out of the jar, the second, the third, etc. Baffled (okay, not entirely) I pulled out a forth pickle and found the insides biten out of that pickle too. Before I could turn to look at P, I heard a little voice say, 'sorry mommy!!'
The picture says it all.....

Am I getting old??
P always watches commercials and declares who wants whatever is advertising. If it is a girl toy, his cousin J wants it; if it is a baby toy, A wants it; if it is an older boy or girl toy, his cousins C and D want it; if it is something that he wants, you best believe, he will let me know.
Yesterday, we were watching the television and a commercial came on for a new washer and dryer and he got very excited and said, "look mommy, you want that!!"
Today, while checking out at Jewel, I spotted a Family Circle magazine and was very interested in every article on the cover and couldn't grab it fast enough. Let alone the fact when the checker at Jewel had to call a '21 on aisle 5,' the lady that came up to the counter hardly even batted an eyelash at me. Just scanned the plastic bottles of Bud Light and was on her way.

Happy Happy Easter!!
Happy Easter to everyone!!
It took P 3 weeks of mass to realize the louder he talks, the more annoyed I get and the closer I move to the door. He was saying 'Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, MOMMY.' I chose to ignore him no matter how loud he said my name (there was a motive)! After about one minute of him getting louder and louder, I looked at him and asked him in a quiet whisper if he was trying to get my attention. I told him that I couldn't hear him at all because I could only hear people whisper while we are in church!! IT WORKED! I finally out-smarted my two year old! It is going to be a great day!! YIPPPEEE!!

We are all ready for spring..no more snow!
P wanted a toy that A took from him today and he pushed her. As part of my boring lecture to him, I explained that he needed to use his words when he was angry. He thought about this for a second and said, "Go away snow!!"

Babe - Just lay down...
Okay this weekend I had the worst upper leg pain ever!! I could hardly walk but managed to move around just fine all day (just like with my back pain the other day)! Anyway, after struggling all day, I was finally making dinner and having visions of bedtime dance in my head!
R looked at me limping in the kitchen while making dinner and told me just to go sit on the couch and he could handle the kids while dinner cooked. I took what I could get at this point. I had been struggling all darn day. I no sooner sat on the couch then Mr. I Will Help started letting the dogs out. I figured this was something that needed to get done so I let it slide. I got up and got the kids something a drink.
I ended up calling my cousin and lost track of Mr. Helpful. The other line rang and low and behold, it was Daddy asking me where the libraray was located. I kindly asked him where in the hell he was located! He said he peeked in the backdoor after letting the dogs out and saw me on the phone and thought everything was under control!! OH GEEZ!!!

Palm Sunday
Well, first I want to say that we are having problems with our computer and should be up and running later this week. Needless to say, this issue has taken away my 'blogging' time.
We made it to church again this week. The whole family made it to there this time. R, P, A and I!! Of course we all manage to get there on one of the longest services of the year but that is okay - we were there!! Since it was Palm Sunday, they gave us the palms as we walked into church. Not one second after P was given the palm, it turned into a sword!! He was tellling R to 'hit him' with his palm. A was also in on the action and swinging away. Good thing those 'weapons' only come once a year!!
