In a house full of toddlers and pets, you can start out having a bad day, but you keep getting detoured.

One week later

Popi's surgery went very well and after the large mass (that filled his kidney and burst 4 cm out) was removed, we were blessed with the news that despite what we were told before the pathology reports were in, it was not cancer! We also had a positive mersa (technically MRSA) scare that turned out not to be a threat but we sure had fun with the plastic gear we had to wear in his room! Despite all we had going on the past week, we managed to have fun at the hospital!! I thought I would share some pictures and you can see first hand how our family deals with things....WITH HUMOR!! (A is not in the pictures b/c the hospital would not allow her in Popi's room - I guess you can be too young to be exposed)!

Two minutes after being wheeled in after surgery....
Never too young to be exposed...

Note how far back they are from Mr. Mersa....

Time for a.....NEVER MIND

Fun with Mersa
