You can hear the clomping but who is making the noise?
You can see the Slip n' Slide but which one of my children will be flying down the middle?
When R went down the Slip n' Slide the first time, one of our neighbors screamed out his backdoor that I would have the video uploaded to FB in moments. That's when I realized...I needed my camera outside with me! When I came back outside with the camera, hubby refused to go again unless I put the camera on the deck, sat at the picnic table and not move. After 30 minutes of convincing him that I would not take a picture, he let me hold the camera. Well....I didn't take a picture, I videotaped!!! Then he had the NERVE to tell the kids he is more athletic than Mommy and that is why he can still do things like go on a Slip n' Slide! Well, for those that know me, I am always up for a challenge, especially when the challenge involves proving someone wrong!!

My Grandma...
My Grandma was lucky enough to travel around the world several times playing in the Ziegfeld Follies, Ingenues. She never had a lesson yet played the clarinet and the saxophone beautifully. She was an amazingly talented woman that left behind a legacy of great photos, memories and a family that is proud of her and honored to call her Grandma....many, many years after she graced this earth.
She kept a journal of her travels and in the first line she wrote that her memories were so vivid that not even time could erase. Well, unfortunately for Grandma, time did erase those memories but thanks to her ability to capture many of her moments with pictures, brochures, magazine clippings and other keepsakes, the memory is vivid in all of our minds.
Thanks to the Internet and some searching online, my sister was able to find this amazing video of Grandma. She stands several times for solos and is seated closest to the piano player, center left. Thanks Sue for bringing Grandma back to all of us, if only for a moment!!
Sit back and enjoy....

Another rescue story...
Mom, the kids and I were running very late for my niece's graduation this weekend so to say seeing two dogs running down the highway was a nuisance is an understatement. Of course I put on my rescue cape and made a quick u-turn but the there was already a lady parked in the middle of the highway trying to scurry them into the car. We pulled over and asked her if she needed help and she said yes. We got them in the car, pulled into a parking lot and tried to call the number on the dog tag. Since one dog didn't have a tag and they were running together, we assumed the dogs belonged to the same people. Anyway, the lady that answered the 'dog tag' number, met us to pick up her pups. She was walking up to the car and we told her that her dogs were in the backseat. She looked at us baffled and said, 'Ummmmmm, I only have one dog!!'

Thinking....Okay lady, now you have two because I am running late for a graduation and I need to go!!!
Anyway, she offered to take the other dog with her and said she'd call if she couldn't find the pup's family. All is well, ends well, the dog happened to live a few doors down from her and was safely reunited with the family.
By the way, they had an un-neutered male and the other dog was a female in heat....lesson 101, 102 and 103...GET YOUR DOGS FIXED, KEEP THEM ON A LEASH AND FOR THE LOVE OF G-D, DON'T MATE YOUR DOGS!!!

Captain Asshole
Before you read this short post, please keep in mind I DO NOT ENCOURAGE THIS LANGUAGE and I have no idea how P came up with this but here it goes....
We were trying to get out of the house yesterday morning and those with multiple children get that this is not an easy task....to say the least!! Anyway, I told P that he needed to go to the bathroom and get dressed. He was walking away and he said 'I - I Captain Asshole!!' I have no idea where he got that but I am sure it has something to do with television or the YouTube access on my iPhone because he had no idea what he said was not appropriate!
In case you were wondering what kind of mood my son was in yesterday, the following is a picture I was trying to take of Daddy and Baby Beau....if you look closely, you may see them in the background.

Until next time....
